Some people think tourettes syndrome is funny. Honestly, I won't be surprised if I get a few ignorant folks that do decide to laugh.

Mostly though they laugh at the swearing tic that is usually ore common in extreme cases. Swearing is just one thing it does in extreme cases though. These are many other extreme tics here as well listed on the picture.

I've had the choking tic myself. [ tic is what we call it when your tourettes makes you do something be it twitching, spitting or whatever. ] It's not fun when you're choking yourself until you run out of air, let go, catch your breath and do it all over again.

Also yes, you can still tic in your sleep. It's honestly exhausting. I'm tired very often, more-so than the average person.

It's hard to draw, especially when you're afraid you'll tic and slam your fist on your $400.00 tablet or $1,500.00 laptop or go through $100.00 worth of mouses each month. etc.

I've stabbed myself once because of a tic. I currently have the punching tic as well as a few other ones listed in the picture.


The drawing is simple, I apologize for that. I haven't been able to make anything good really, but that's another story.


PS. There's no cure for TS. Sometimes when one grows much older it will die down a lot or go away... but that's rare. Usually when you're born with it, you die with it.
